Are you living in a sugar fog?

We went on holiday for a week recently.  It was an active week, with a little bit of food off plan but not bad.  However we returned straight into a 16th Birthday weekend.  There was a lot of sugar about and I ate considerably more than I would ever do in a month let alone a weekend.

Monday morning arrived and I was struggling to stay focussed on the work that needed to be done, my concentration levels were atrocious, and I was craving sweet things all day! I also had stiff joints and my sleep for a few days was off the chart for its lack of quality!  I felt sluggish, bloated and my mood was not my normal optimistic self!

Sugar fog really is a thing and if you are consuming sugar daily it is likely that you are living in a sugar fog all the time.  Imagine how much more productive you could be each day without sugar.  Imagine how good your sleep could be.  Imagine how confident and comfortable you could feel in your clothes.

So how do you tell if you are in a sugar fog?

1.       You really do struggle to stay focused on the required task in hand, and you keep forgetting what you wanted to say

2.       Your mood is low most of the time, and you feel constantly tired yet you never get a good nights sleep

3.       Your joints feel stiff and achy, and motivation to exercise is at an all time low, even walking is hard sometimes

4.       Your hormones are all over the place, and you feel tearful a lot of the time

5.       No matter how much you try it is hard to shift the weight around the middle, you feel bloated and uncomfortable in your clothes.

What can you do to solve this?  It often feels hard and lonely starting on a Monday morning then just finding yourself craving sugar for days and giving up by Thursday if not before!
