5 ways to get more vegetarian protein into your diet
Most women never eat enough protein. Yet it is great for blood sugar balance, helping to reduce cravings, and making better choices around food. And if your vegetarian it can be confusing as to the best sources of protein.
More protein supports slower stomach emptying time. Especially when eaten first thing, it can keep you full for hours. Resulting in more energy, better mental clarity and easier weight management.
If you want to banish sugar cravings for good then get more protein into your diet. We should be aiming for between 30 and 40 grms at each meal.
So what are the best sources of protein other than meat or fish?
Tofu is a great source with a whopping 16grms per 100grms.
Cottage cheese comes a close second with 11grms per 100grms
Then mixed beans, lentils and full fat greek yougurt with around 6-9grms per 100grms.
